This position is a component of the Electrical and Instrumentation Division of BHI and reports directly to the Project Manager. Incumbent will provide a full range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to programming equipment to accurately quantify bulk fluid movement. Contribute to the continuous improvement efforts in your department's productivity to enhance customer satisfaction, company profit and safety. All jobs shall be conducted in a safe, efficient and professional manner.
o Set up and test equipment to ensure that it functions properly, also demonstrate proper use and analyze any malfunctions.
o Program, commission, all required instruments, transmitters, probes, PLC, RTU and/or other measurement devices for the oil and gas industry.
o Program automation and controls systems involving PLCs.
o Work with PLCs, HMIs and communication loops.
o Install, configure, and optimize production applications used to control production wells.
o Gather, analyze, and store historical data and configuration files.
o Maintain and upkeep calibration test equipment.
o Maintain and update calibration spreadsheets / procedures.
o Work with vendors and order necessary parts for repair / stock.
o Program flow meters to appropriately measure different flow rates of liquids and gases.
o Increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical and regulation publications, as applicable.
o Perform any other duties or assignments as BHI Management deems necessary.
Education: High School Diploma/GED or higher level. Additional advanced electrical schooling preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in programming and experience in the gas and oil industry. Communications experience with Modbus and various radio transmitters preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License. Any additional electrical licensing preferred. Additional programming certification preferred.
Skills/Equipment: Able to communicate effectively (i.e. reading, writing, speaking) in the English language. Able to read engineering drawings and instructions is preferred.

• Must be able to create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up.

• Possess a safe driving record.
• Able to obtain a DOT Medical card and keep it current throughout employment; if operating BHI fleet/equipment.
Both mental and physical labor are a part of this job. Working conditions could be indoor or outdoor and the job may be subject to extreme weather conditions. Moderate to heavy travel is expected.
